What We Do
MathCON is a prestigious, nonprofit math competition, founded in 2008 in Chicago, Illinois, offering a unique, two-round format.
Open to students in grades 4 through 12 across the United States and Canada, MathCON has proudly engaged over 434,000 students from more than 3,500 schools.
We invite public, charter, private, and home schools, as well as learning centers, to participate. Each school registration covers up to 1,000 students, and we encourage all 4th to 12th-grade students to join in the fun and challenge!
The competition unfolds in two rounds:
Online Test (1st Round): Available from January 15 to March 7, 2025, for all registered students.
MathCON Finals (2nd Round): The top 628 scoring students from the Online Test are invited to compete for the National Championship in MathCON Finals on May 10, 2025, at the iconic McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois.
